The company also won about EUR 60 million in rail fastening contracts for two high-speed lines in Shandong, China, with deliveries from 2027.

At InnoTrans 2026, Vossloh presented its MFlex 7 fastening system, designed for ballasted tracks under different operating conditions, including conventional, high-speed and heavy-haul traffic. The system uses a new M7 tension clamp geometry to improve force distribution and torsional resistance.
MFlex 7 is designed for axle loads of up to 35 tonnes in heavy-haul applications and can also be used on high-speed lines. Its components can be replaced individually, while compatibility with existing W-type fastening systems is intended to simplify maintenance and renewal.
For urban railways, Vossloh introduced the 400 MFlex fastening system, developed for applications where reducing structure-borne vibration is particularly important, including metro and tram networks near residential or sensitive buildings.
The system is designed to reduce vibration by more than 15 dB in suitable applications. It offers height adjustment of up to 30 mm and gauge adjustment of ±20 mm and can be installed using standard track tools without special hydraulic equipment.
New high-speed rail contracts in China
Vossloh Fastening Systems has also expanded its order portfolio in China with two contracts worth approximately EUR 60 million.
The company will supply System 300 rail fastenings for two high-speed railway projects in Shandong Province: the approximately 269 km Jinan–Zaozhuang line and the 109 km Qingdao–Zhucheng line. Both are designed for speeds of up to 350 km/h.
The fastenings will be manufactured at Vossloh's Kunshan plant, with deliveries beginning in 2027. The factory, operating since 2007, reached cumulative production of 150 million tension clamps in January 2026.
During the first nine months of 2026, Vossloh Fastening Systems recorded EUR 251.7 million in new orders against EUR 227.1 million in revenue, resulting in a book-to-bill ratio of 1.11. Its order backlog stood at EUR 251.5 million at the end of September.
Digital tools assess the contribution of rail fastenings to track stability
Vossloh is also incorporating fastening characteristics into its TrackStability software, presented at InnoTrans 2026. The system calculates the risk of heat-induced track buckling using infrastructure data, track geometry and operating parameters.
Infrastructure managers can simulate how alternative fastening and sleeper configurations affect track resistance before selecting maintenance measures.
In one example published by Vossloh, replacing an older fastening arrangement on wooden sleepers with a modern system on concrete sleepers increased the calculated temperature safety margin against track buckling from 81 to 126 Kelvin. The result represents a modelled track configuration rather than a network-wide performance measurement.
