CFL multimodal has launched its new intermodal service between Luxembourg and Poland and increased the frequency of its existing connection to Lübeck, Germany.
The first train on the new Polish connection departed on 20 October 2026. The service links Bettembourg-Dudelange with the Schavemaker terminal near Wrocław, operating four round trips per week.
Each train can carry up to 38 intermodal transport units, including cranable and non-cranable semi-trailers, containers and swap bodies. The Luxembourg terminal provides onward connections to other European destinations, with road collection and delivery services available through logistics partners.
The operator had previously announced the Wrocław connection in September, initially scheduling its launch for 19 October.
CFL multimodal has also increased its Bettembourg–Lübeck service from three to four weekly round trips. The German terminal is located at Skandinavienkai in Lübeck-Travemünde, providing access to Baltic Sea ferry connections.
The frequency increase follows two weeks of operational disruption during which trains were diverted via Lüneburg using diesel traction. CFL multimodal reported completing all seven scheduled round trips during that period.
Earlier in 2026, the operator outlined plans to increase the Lübeck service to five or six weekly round trips, although the latest confirmed frequency is four.
